Incident at Domaniewska Street
On Saturday, 25 October, about 2 a.m., a citizen driver under the influence was stopped on Domaniewska Street, Mokotów. Two bystanders intervened, preventing further driving and called the police.
Chaotic Driving of Rental Dacia
A Dacia car with damaged lighting was driving erratically. At one point it hit barriers separating a construction zone from the road and then crashed into a curb. The car was a short‑term rental.
Alcohol Level Tested at Two Promille
The breath test revealed 2‰ alcohol for the Polish citizen driver. He was detained. At the time, he held a valid driving licence and no injuries were reported.
Police Presence During Interception
Road Traffic Department officers were on site, recording the incident and verifying the circumstances of the citizen’s apprehension. Traffic continued without major disruptions.
Community Intervention
The drivers who noticed the Dacia’s erratic behaviour stopped the vehicle and notified authorities, leading to the citizen’s apprehension.
