A drunk man fell onto metro tracks in Warsaw after leaning on an arriving train, causing six stations to close during emergency response.

Incident Details

On Saturday, February 21, a dangerous incident occurred at Wilno Station on Warsaw’s metro Line M2. A drunk man fell onto the tracks while leaning on the rear of an arriving train, losing his balance as a result.

Emergency Response

Medical assistance was provided to the victim who was not injured and will be taken to a detox center. Emergency services secured the area while suspending traffic on a section of M2 line and closing six stations in total.

Service Disruptions

Passengers using Line M2 face disruptions, including those transferring through central areas. The line is currently operating in two loops: BEMOWO – RONDO ONZ and TARGÓWEK MIESZKANIOWY – METRO BRÓDNO.

Alternative Transportation

Metro operator WTP has launched alternative bus transportation ZA METRO on a specific route connecting Targówek Mieszkaniowy with Rondo ONZ to accommodate affected passengers.
