A 34-year-old man was arrested in Warsaw’s Bielany district after assaulting a bus driver and threatening his life.
Drunk Passenger’s Aggressive Behavior
A drunk passenger on a night bus in Bielany exhibited aggressive behavior towards the driver, destroying his glasses and threatening to kill him. Police were called to the scene, and the situation quickly escalated.
The incident began when the driver pointed out to the man that he was heavily intoxicated and struggling to maintain his balance while boarding the bus. A dispute arose, and the passenger became increasingly aggressive.
Assault and Threats
The passenger verbally abused the driver with offensive language, pulled his hair, destroyed his glasses, and threatened his life – actions considered an offense against a public official. Fearing for his safety and the damage to his property, the driver contacted the police.
Arrest and Charges
Police officers arrived and arrested the 34-year-old, detaining him in a police cell. After sobering up, the man was charged with insult, threats, and property damage, facing up to five years in prison.
