Drunk Taxi Driver Causes Crash; Two Women Hospitalized

At 5:57 a.m. on National Road 92 near Oltarzew, a drunken taxi driver collided with a private Suzuki, sending both vehicles into a ditch and leaving two Ukrainian women hospitalized.

The collision occurred on DK92, a stretch known to many drivers as the “old two,” running parallel to the A2 motorway and passing through the Ożarów Mazowiecki region toward Warsaw.

Crash Details

A 50‑year‑old taxi driver operating a Hyundai struck a private Suzuki. The impact forced both cars into a ditch.

Injured Victims

Two Ukrainian women, aged 33 and 38, who were traveling in the Suzuki sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital.

Emergency Services Response

Firefighting units, medical rescue teams, and the police arrived swiftly. Traffic in the area was oscillated while rescue operations continued.

Police Investigation and Arrest

Police investigations revealed the taxi driver was under the influence of alcohol; an alcohol test measured 0.84 ‰. The driver was arrested.
