Drunk, Unlicensed Driver Crashes into Tree

A 47-year-old man was hospitalized with serious injuries after crashing a car into a tree in Dębienica, Poland, on March 31st.

The incident occurred around 6:00 PM on March 31st in Dębienica, within the Długosiodło municipality and Wyszków county.

Police determined the driver of the Volkswagen failed to adjust his speed to road conditions, lost control of the vehicle, veered onto the shoulder, and collided with a roadside tree.

Driver’s Condition and Charges

The driver sustained bodily injuries and was transported to a hospital. A breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol content of 1.2 per mille.

Authorities also discovered the man was driving without a valid driver’s license. He will face legal consequences for driving under the influence and without proper authorization.

Potential Penalties

The driver faces up to three years in prison, a ban on operating motor vehicles, and a substantial fine.

Police are reiterating their appeal for responsible driving. Drunk drivers pose a significant threat to themselves and other road users.
