Police in Garwolin detained an aggressive, intoxicated man who damaged a figure located in front of an ice cream parlor in the city center, and subsequently attacked officers during the intervention.

On March 16th, after 5:00 PM, officers from the Patrol and Intervention Unit responded to reports of damage to outdoor furniture at a local ice cream shop. The intoxicated suspect kicked a resin cow statue, causing over 3,000 złoty in damages.

Intervention and Arrest

Store employees witnessed the incident, apprehended the man, and called the police. Upon arrival, the 29-year-old refused to comply with police commands and escalated his aggression, attempting to obstruct their duties.

The man was subdued and transported to a police holding cell.

Prior Criminal Record

Further investigation revealed the suspect had a history of offenses including property crimes, abuse, and drug-related offenses. He had also violated a court order just two days prior by visiting his mother at her apartment despite a prohibition.

Charges Filed

Criminal investigators have filed charges against the man. He faces charges of property damage, insulting officers, violating their bodily integrity, and making threats to coerce police to cease their duties.

He has also been charged with failing to comply with court orders.

The suspect faces up to 5 years in prison.
