Poland’s tax authority is temporarily taking the e-PIT system offline to prepare for the annual tax filing season, with the system expected to be available again from February 15.
Information Needed for e-PIT Declarations
Currently, the Krajowa Administracja Skarbowa (KAS) must update the electronic system with information that payers sent to tax offices by February 2. This includes various data required for tax declarations.
Taxpayers Will Receive Information by March 2
Payers will send the same information directly to taxpayers by March 2. They should normally do this by the end of February, but this year the deadline has been extended because it would fall on a Saturday.
It’s worth noting that the obligation for employers to send information to taxpayers will be abolished, but only from 2027. This is based on assumptions for amendments to the PIT and CIT laws, published in the government’s legislative works list (number UDER105).
