Eight‑Vehicle Collision Blocks Jerusalem Avenue Overpass

Around 9:10 p.m., an eight‑vehicle pile‑up occurred on the Jerusalem Avenue viaduct above Mszczonowska Street in Ochota, completely blocking traffic toward Ursus.

Chain‑Reaction Crash on Viaduct

At about 21:10, a series of successive collisions on the Jerusalem Avenue viaduct over Mszczonowska Street unfolded, resulting in eight cars wrecked. No injuries have been reported so far.

Emergency Response on Site

Firefighters secured the crash area and the surrounding road segment. They are ensuring the safety of those involved and other road users while the damaged vehicles occupy the entire width of the viaduct on the outbound direction.

Road Blockage and Detours

Traffic toward Ursus is completely blocked. Drivers coming from the city center must expect significant delays, lane reduction, and possible traffic jams near the Mszczonowska intersection. A detour via the roundabout below the overpass is in effect.

Investigation Underway

Authorities will examine who first failed to exercise due caution and triggered the chain crash, as well as whether road conditions or traffic density contributed. Findings will clarify the exact sequence of events.

Advisory for Drivers

Officials urge motorists to avoid the viaduct area over Mszczonowska and to use alternative routes whenever possible. Significant hindrances to outbound traffic from Warsaw toward Ursus and beyond to Pruszków are expected until operations cease.
