A 74-year-old woman died in a car on Żwirki i Wigury street in Warsaw on April 5th while traveling to celebrate Easter with family.
Medical Emergency During Travel
On Sunday, April 5th, around 1:15 PM, a dramatic situation unfolded in a car on Żwirki i Wigury street, just past the intersection with 1 Sierpnia street, heading towards the city center.
During the journey to visit family, the 74-year-old passenger felt unwell and lost consciousness.
First Aid and Rescue Efforts
Family members immediately began providing first aid before the arrival of emergency services. Two medical rescue teams were dispatched to the scene and took over the rescue operation, performing resuscitation for an extended period.
Death Confirmed
Despite intensive efforts to save her life, paramedics were unable to restore the woman’s vital functions. After completing medical procedures, her death was confirmed.
Cause of Death and Traffic Impact
Initial information from the scene indicates no evidence suggesting the death was due to anything other than natural causes. The woman’s body was subsequently released to her family.
The incident occurred on a major thoroughfare in the capital, but the emergency services’ intervention was solely medical in nature. Two lanes heading towards the city center were blocked during the event.
Despite the swift reaction of the family and the actions of the rescuers, the elderly woman could not be saved.
