A Cessna 182 made an emergency landing on the A1 highway near Świecie, Poland, around 11:30 AM, prompting a lane closure.
Emergency Landing Disrupts Traffic
An unusual event occurred today at approximately 11:30 AM on kilometer 88 of the A1 highway in Świecie County. Emergency services blocked a lane towards Łódź to facilitate the emergency landing of a Cessna 182.
According to a statement from the Toruń Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service, the pilot landed the aircraft safely without any casualties.
Two Pilots Uninjured
There were two pilots on board the aircraft, and neither sustained any injuries.
Fire Service Response and Traffic Restoration
Three fire departments secured the landing: the State Fire Service, the OSP Górna Grupa volunteer fire department, and the military fire department. Traffic on the highway has since returned to normal after experiencing disruptions.

The Cessna 182 is a single-engine high-wing aircraft that has been in production since the 1950s. As of 2:00 PM, one fire department remained on site to pump fuel from the aircraft as a safety precaution, according to Senior Fire Brigade Officer Małgorzata Jarocka-Krzemkowska of the Toruń Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service.
