Emil F., 18, Accused of Senior‑Citizen “Grandchild” Fraud by Radom Court

Radom district court charged 18‑year‑old Emil F. with a series of “grandchild” frauds that scammed seniors across Szydłowiec County and other Polish towns in October 2024.

Charges Filed

On 31 October 2025 the Radom District Prosecutor’s Office submitted an indictment against Emil F., 18, for a series of frauds under Article 286 § 1 of the Penal Code and additional offenses. The indictment alleges crimes committed in October 2024 in Szydłowiec County and other Polish cities.

Method of Fraud

Investigators say the scheme was organized and involved contacting elderly victims by phone with false claims of a relative’s accident or urgent medical need. Victims were pressured to transfer 30 000 to 215 000 złoty for “deposit” or emergency treatment.

Co‑Conspirators and Victims

The accused, a resident of Wołomin County, allegedly worked with others to deceive five senior victims, resulting in substantial financial losses. The money was divided among participants after receipt.

Detention and Bail

During prosecution, Emil F. was detained and temporarily arrested on 15 January 2025 by the Radom District Court. He has not pleaded guilty.

Legal Consequences

Prosecutors seek a sentence ranging from one to ten years’ imprisonment. The case will be heard before the Radom District Court, covering five elderly victims who lost large sums of cash.
