Austrian-owned Erste Bank Polska officially entered the Polish market, rebranding from Santander Bank Polska following a significant investment.
Three Pillars of Offer for Individual and SME Clients
The bank plans to strengthen its offerings in three key areas: financial health, everyday banking, and support for entrepreneurship. The new brand represents a combination of Erste Group’s experience and the expertise of local teams, ensuring continuity of quality and client relationships.
Building Financial Stability
The bank will actively promote healthy financial habits, such as systematic saving, investing, and diversification. Offerings include savings accounts with up to 4.5% interest, investment options starting from 10 zł, euro-denominated funds, and new investment solutions designed to mitigate loss aversion, alongside flexible loans and preferential insurance.
Convenient Everyday Banking
Erste Bank Polska will maintain free instant transfers and expand its currency offerings to cater to increasingly mobile clients. The bank aims to eliminate barriers related to costs and opacity in foreign transactions, providing access to 21 currencies without exchange fees, simplified foreign payments, and additional services for international use.
Supporting Entrepreneurs, Especially SMEs
The bank offers financing from day one through e-loans, SoftPOS payment terminals, and loyalty/cashback programs. The offerings are designed to meet the real needs of entrepreneurs, prioritizing speed, accessibility, and simplicity, with a broad currency offering available without fees.
Stronger Support for Companies and Corporations
In the corporate segment, the bank will leverage the potential of the Erste Group in Central and Eastern Europe. The bank intends to support companies in realizing their ambitions and investment decisions, building on existing client relationships and service quality while benefiting from new opportunities within the group.
Expansion into Central and Eastern Europe
The bank sees Central Europe as a natural direction for Polish firms’ expansion, where thousands of Polish companies already operate. Joining Erste Group provides a unique opportunity to support clients abroad and attract investment to Poland, capitalizing on a favorable macroeconomic environment, including EU funds and planned sector investments.
Continued Digital Development
Erste Bank Polska plans to further develop its digital products and channels.
A Key Player in Central and Eastern Europe
Erste Bank Polska aims to increase its scale of operations in Poland and establish itself as a key player in Central and Eastern Europe by combining local expertise with international backing.
