EU exports outside the common market reached €2.65 trillion last year, with the trade surplus decreasing from €141 billion to €136 billion.

According to Eurostat data, EU exports of goods outside the common market totaled €2.65 trillion last year, a 2% increase from the previous 12 months. Imports grew slightly faster, reducing the EU’s trade surplus from €141 billion to €136 billion.
The foreign trade results proved better than economists’ forecasts from the beginning of the year, when the United States had raised tariffs on EU goods.
