European MP Defends Himself Against Fraudster Allegations

Polish Euro‑MP Dariusz Joński has denied links to convicted fraudster Andrzej R, contested claims that R is the godfather of his child, and has threatened court action for defamation.

Allegations Linking Joński to Fraudster

Polish journalist Gońç published an article portraying Andrzej R, a convicted fraudster, as having a financial relationship with Joński, allegedly funding a cell phone, suit, and eyeglass frames. The piece also claimed that R was the godfather of Joński’s child.

Joński’s Response on Polsat News

In a Polsat News interview, Joński dismissed the assertions, stating that everything comes from the mouths of a “man who sits behind fraud” and from the influence of PiS leader Ziobro. He asserted that all allegations are false and a misguided attempt to blame him for CPK transgressions.

Defamation Claim and Legal Action

On the social‑media platform X, Joński warned that the defamations and slanders would be taken to court. He demanded an apology, specified compensation of 50,000 złoty to WOŚP, and emphasized that he would not allow the case to remain unresolved.

Waldemar Buda Requests Invoice Evidence

PiS MP Waldemar Buda staged a press conference outside the KO Parliamentary Club, demanding that the suit purchase be substantiated with receipts. He questioned the authenticity of the book’s claims about bribery and questioned whether the alleged fraudster’s involvement was real or autobiographical.

Legal Path and Future Actions

Joński reiterated that he would pursue judicial proceedings, insisting that the court address the false statements, secure an apology, and rectify his reputation and that of his five‑year‑old child.
