Europe’s Most Wanted Criminal Apprehended in Mexico

Janos Balla, also known as Daniel Takacs, a fugitive wanted in Hungary for drug trafficking, was captured in Quintana Roo, Mexico on Saturday.

Wanted Man Located in Mexico

Janos Balla, also known as Daniel Takacs, was apprehended in Quintana Roo, southern Mexico, according to Mexican Secretary of Security Omar Garcia Harfuch.

Authorities stated Balla was located thanks to intelligence from Hungarian security agencies and ongoing investigations.

He has been handed over to Mexican immigration authorities to determine his immigration status and begin deportation proceedings to Europe.

Mexico’s ‘Most Dangerous Boss’ Killed in February

In February, Mexican forces killed Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, “El Mencho,” leader of the Jalisco Nueva Generación gang, during a raid in Tapalpa, Jalisco.

“El Mencho,” the country’s most wanted man, died in a shootout between his bodyguards and Mexican special forces. His family buried him in a golden coffin.

FBI Official’s Alcohol Use Questioned

According to sources in “The Atlantic,” Kash Patel, an FBI official, was reportedly often intoxicated to the point that security agents struggled to wake him when needed.
