Deputy Interior Minister Czesław Mroczek has confirmed investigations into a false bomb threat against the home of Karol Nawrocki’s mother, emphasizing that law enforcement is effectively countering such disruptive actions.
Investigations into False Threats
Deputy Minister of the Interior and Administration Czesław Mroczek confirmed that authorities have leads regarding the false bomb threat directed at the home of Karol Nawrocki’s mother. He noted that four individuals have already been remanded in custody regarding similar false alarm incidents.
Mroczek highlighted that the judicial system has verified the evidentiary material, justifying the use of temporary detention. He described the recent arrests as a significant police success, noting that detection rates for such crimes had previously been very low.
Countering State Disruption
Responding to concerns regarding potential state paralysis due to frequent bomb threats, Mroczek dismissed the possibility. He stated that the state has demonstrated its capacity to act, with numerous arrests serving as a clear signal that existing procedures are sufficient to prevent such scenarios.
The deputy minister also confirmed that further detentions are underway, specifically concerning threats directed at the editorial office of Republika and individuals associated with the outlet.
Evidence Against Detained Attorney
Addressing the recent detention of an attorney, Mroczek stated that the individual was involved in serious criminal activities. Authorities reportedly seized illegally stored explosives, unauthorized personal documents, and evidence of false accusations being distributed by the suspect.
International Legal Cooperation
The Ministry of the Interior is prioritizing the return of Marcin Romanowski to Poland, with Mroczek suggesting that the prospects for his detention are higher than previously anticipated. Minister Marcin Kierwiński is scheduled to discuss the cases of Zbigniew Ziobro and Marcin Romanowski with his Hungarian counterpart, Gabor Posfai.
Poland has already submitted a formal request to Hungary to revoke the refugee status of Zbigniew Ziobro. The legal proceedings continue as part of the broader effort to bring key figures to justice.
