Warsaw photographer Tomasz K., wanted since May for raping a model, was captured by special police in Torun on January 20.
Arrest After Manhunt
On January 20, Małopole “head hunters” arrested 48-year-old Tomasz K., a Warsaw photographer, in Torun. The man had been wanted by warrant since last May after disappearing when the court sentenced him to 3.5 years in prison for raping a young model.
Tomasz K. was taken to prison where he will serve his sentence.
Police Operation Details
The case was handled by officers from the Search and Identification Department of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Krakow. Officials determined he could be hiding in the Torun area.
The 48-year-old was found in one apartment in the city center. According to police, “The man had holed up in the apartment from which he did not leave. He was surprised when police appeared at his door.”
Rape Investigation Background
Tomasz K. was alleged to have raped a model during a meeting in a hotel in Warsaw. He had gained popularity in the show business and modeling world a few years ago.
The police informed that the man used his position, making promises to young girls interested in modeling careers. The rape reportedly occurred during a meeting in one of Warsaw’s hotels, where the 48-year-old arranged to meet a young woman under the pretext of a photo shoot. The victim reported the incident to police.
