On Tuesday, 12, in the village of Czyczkowy in the Brusy municipality (Pomeranian Voivodeship), a fatal accident occurred during fieldwork. A 29‑year‑old was killed. Police determined that the man was struck by a combine, operated by his 60‑year‑old father.
Police: Combine Operator Took No Extra Caution
Aleksandra Drobińska of the County Police Headquarters in Chojnice described the probable course of events. According to preliminary police findings, the combine operator did not take extra caution while performing a reverse maneuver, resulting in him crashing into the man. Unfortunately, the man’s life could not be saved, the police officer told the portal Zawsze Pomorze.
Fatal Accident in Pomerania: 60-Year-Old Was Sober
Under the supervision of a prosecutor, investigators are examining the case. It is already known that the 60‑year‑old was sober at the time of the accident. If the preliminary police findings are confirmed, the man may face a charge of involuntary manslaughter.
