A fatal collision on Poland’s A4 motorway near Święta Anna on 2 December involved nine vehicles and left one woman dead.
Nine‑Vehicle Collision
A crash on the A4 between the Kędzierzyn‑Koźle and Krapkowice junctions involved nine vehicles traveling toward Wrocław. Six passenger cars, two trucks and a bus made contact. The incident occurred after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, 2 December.
Fatality
One woman lost her life in the collision. No further casualties were reported.
Traffic Disruptions
The General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) warned of severe traffic congestion. In response, police established detours toward Wrocław and Katowice, directing traffic via DW 426 and DW 409 through the Kędzierzyn‑Koźle and Krapkowice junctions.
Weather Conditions
Fog was reported to persist on Polish roads through Wednesday and Thursday, reducing visibility across the country. Meteorologist Arleta Unton‑Pyziołek indicated that weather should improve by Friday, with fog giving way to rainfall.
