Fatal Crash in Świdnica: Car Flips After Striking Wild Boar

A 21-year-old driver and his parents were involved in a fatal accident early Saturday morning on the DK27 road near Świdnica after their vehicle struck a wild boar and overturned.

Circumstances of the Accident

The incident occurred early Saturday, June 6, at the 57th kilometer of the DK27 road in the village of Świdnica, located between Nowogród Bobrzański and Zielona Góra. Traffic disruptions caused by the detour were expected to last approximately three hours.

Collision and Vehicle Rollover

According to Sub-inspector Małgorzata Stanisławska of the Zielona Góra Municipal Police, initial investigations indicate that the 21-year-old driver of a Fiat Punto struck a wild boar that ran into the road. The force of the impact caused the vehicle to flip onto its roof.

Casualties and Emergency Response

The young man was traveling with his parents. Despite resuscitation efforts, his 54-year-old father died at the scene. The driver and his 48-year-old mother sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital by emergency services.
