A 29‑year‑old driver of a Volkswagen left his lane on highway 631 near Sieraków, colliding with a vehicle driven by a 69‑year‑old man. The Volkswagen was thrown onto a roadside ditch and struck a tree, sustaining extensive damage.

Fatalities and Injuries

The crash killed the driver of the Volkswagen. The passenger suffered severe injuries, was given CPR on site, and was taken to hospital where he later died. The 69‑year‑old driver survived with minor injuries that did not threaten life.

Alcohol and Warrants

Blood alcohol testing found about 2 promille in the Volkswagen driver, confirming intoxication. He also had two court‑issued driving bans and was wanted for a criminal warrant.
