Approximately 7:25 AM on Zieleniecka Street in Marki (Wołomin County), a fire broke out in a residential apartment. An elderly couple, an 80-year-old woman and an 84-year-old man, were inside. Despite resuscitation efforts, the man could not be saved.
The 80-year-old woman was conscious and transported to the hospital for treatment.

The initial report indicated smoke inhalation in the apartment. Preliminary information suggests the incident was likely caused by an old-type faulty furnace. Upon arrival, emergency services confirmed smoke presence and initiated rescue operations.

Two individuals were located within the apartment. The 84-year-old man was unconscious; resuscitation efforts failed to restore vital signs.
