Early Tuesday morning on June 4, a 22-year-old intoxicated driver struck and killed a 21-year-old woman on Torfowa Street in Pruszków before fleeing the scene of the accident.
Fatal Collision and Escape
On June 4, shortly after 3:00 AM, the driver of an Audi struck a 21-year-old woman on Torfowa Street in Pruszków and fled the scene. Despite being transported to a hospital, the victim succumbed to her injuries.
Rapid Police Response and Arrest
Following the suspect’s escape, Pruszków police launched an immediate manhunt involving the Warsaw Prevention Department, Traffic Department, and intelligence units supported by tracking dogs. Within an hour, authorities located the abandoned vehicle less than a kilometer away and apprehended the 22-year-old driver.
Forensic Investigation and Charges
At the time of his arrest, the suspect recorded a blood alcohol level of nearly 2.0 per mille. Blood samples were taken to screen for narcotics, and the vehicle has been impounded for forensic analysis by the Warsaw Metropolitan Police Laboratory.
