A 27-year-old police officer on a motorcycle died in a crash in Stopnica, Świętokrzyskie region, on September 21, after colliding with a car that failed to yield.
Details of the Accident
The accident occurred on a national road (nr 73) in Stopnica at around 12:30 PM. According to initial findings, the motorcycle, driven by the 27-year-old officer, collided with a Lexus driven by a 75-year-old man who was entering the main road.
The officer, who was not on duty, was pronounced dead at the scene despite medical efforts. A helicopter from the Emergency Medical Service was dispatched to the scene.
Investigation and Previous Incidents
Police reported that the 75-year-old driver failed to yield to the 27-year-old motorcyclist. This was the second accident at the same intersection in two days; on the previous day, an 84-year-old driver and a passenger were hospitalized after a collision involving a Citroën and a truck.
