Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Warsaw’s Mokotów Road

A motorcyclist died in a crash on Saturday evening on Aleja Niepodległości in Warsaw’s Mokotów district after colliding with a taxi and several parked cars.

Details of the Accident

On Saturday evening, around 22:20, a motorcycle collided with a taxi turning left onto Aleja Niepodległości at the intersection with Lenartowicza Street. The motorcyclist, traveling at high speed, was thrown off the road, hitting a pole, breaking through a fence, and landing on a parking lot.

The impact was severe enough to cause the motorcycle and one of the parked vehicles to catch fire. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and secured the scene.

Emergency Response and Investigation

Despite immediate resuscitation efforts, the motorcyclist’s life could not be saved. The rider was found about 150 meters from the accident site.

The police, under the supervision of a prosecutor, are conducting further investigations to determine the exact causes and circumstances of the tragic accident.

Traffic Disruptions

Due to the blocked road in the area of Aleja Niepodległości and Lenartowicza Street, there are disruptions in the course of lines 174, N36, and N86. Possible delays and redirection of lines to detour routes are expected.

Bus services have been rerouted, with line 174, N36, and N86 buses taking a detour via Woronicza, Krasickiego, and Odyńca streets.
