A young motorcyclist died Saturday afternoon after losing control on a wet curve and striking a roadside barrier in Jadwisin, despite immediate resuscitation attempts by emergency responders.
The Incident
On Saturday, May 16, at approximately 4:15 p.m., a fatal accident occurred on National Road 61 in Jadwisin, within the Legionowo County. The motorcyclist lost control of the vehicle on a curve and struck an energy-absorbing barrier, suffering critical injuries that proved fatal despite resuscitation efforts.
Conditions and Circumstances
The crash occurred on the route toward Pułtusk. Initial findings indicate that the rider was traveling on a wet and slippery road surface following recent rainfall. Witnesses reported the vehicle was a small-displacement motorcycle, likely a 125 ccm model, and the impact force was significant.
Emergency Response and Investigation
Firefighters, paramedics, and police arrived on the scene to secure the area and attempt life-saving measures. Following the unsuccessful rescue, police conducted an on-site investigation to document evidence and determine if other vehicles were involved.
Traffic Disruptions
The northbound lanes of National Road 61 toward Pułtusk were closed for the duration of the emergency operation. Police diverted traffic via Zegrzyńska Street to DK62, allowing motorists to reconnect with the DK61 route.
