Police Intervene in Car Purchase Attempt
A father and son’s plan to purchase a vehicle was disrupted when police determined both the driver and passenger were under driving bans.
The driver was subsequently arrested and faces charges.
Driver Found with Multiple Driving Bans
On Thursday, April 9, 2026, a police patrol in Żuromin stopped a Skoda for routine inspection.
The 71-year-old driver, a resident of Mława, was found to have two existing driving bans, preventing him from driving until October 2028. Additionally, the Mława County Head had revoked his driving privileges.
Passenger Also Subject to Driving Ban
A check of the 25-year-old passenger, the driver’s son, revealed a similar situation – he too was prohibited from driving.
The men stated that the police had “ruined their day” after their trip to purchase a car was halted.
Driver Detained, Faces Further Charges
The driver was taken into police custody.
He will again be held accountable for violating the driving ban.
