The District Prosecutor’s Office in Przemysl has initiated investigative actions following the discovery of fetal remains in a waste container within Przemysl County, near the home of a young woman.
Investigators are determining whether a crime may have been committed in this case.
Police Respond to Suspicion of Infant Death
According to prosecutor Małgorzata Taciuch-Kurasiewicz, spokesperson for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Przemysl, police initiated preliminary actions after receiving a report concerning the suspicion of causing the death of a child.
“At this stage, we know that the remains of a fetus have been discovered. Further actions will be necessary to confirm the circumstances, including whether we are dealing with a crime,” she stated.
Autopsy Results Crucial to Investigation
The investigation is currently in its preliminary phase. The results of the autopsy and any secured evidence will be key to determining the precise circumstances of the event and verifying whether the death resulted from a prohibited act.
