A Fiat driver collided with a Renault from the rear on the intersection of Swojska and Klukowska streets in Warsaw’s Targówek district yesterday evening.
The incident occurred on the roadway linking Swojska with Klukowska; both vehicles were partially blocking the road upon arrival of first responders, causing traffic disruptions.
Damage and Injuries
The impact caused damage to both cars; the Fiat driver failed to maintain a safe following distance from the lead Renault.
Despite the collision, the Renault driver suffered no injuries that required hospitalization.
Escape
Immediately after the collision, the Fiat driver and his passenger left the damaged vehicle and walked away from the site, abandoning the car on the roadway.
The authorities will investigate the parties’ whereabouts and motives for fleeing.
Emergency Response
A squad from the 15th Rescue and Fire Unit secured the scene, marked the area, and ensured traffic safety, implementing a zigzag traffic control.
Police Investigation
