Fire Breaks Out at Parking Lot
A car fire occurred at a parking lot on Królewska Street in Wieliszew (Legionowo County) between March 25th and 26th. Four vehicles were engulfed in flames, while eleven others sustained damage from the heat and fire.
The fire department received the report at 1:58 AM. Three fire crews from the Legionowo and Wieliszew fire departments, along with the police, were dispatched to the scene.
Extent of the Damage
Upon arrival, firefighters found four parked cars fully ablaze: two Mercedes and Ford vans, and two passenger cars – an Audi and an Opel. Firefighters began extinguishing the fire, directing water jets at the burning vehicles and those nearby that were also at risk.
Despite the rapid response, four vehicles were completely destroyed by the flames. The fire also damaged eleven other parked cars in the vicinity, bringing the total number of affected vehicles to fifteen.
Investigation Underway
No injuries were reported during the incident. Emergency services concluded their operations at the parking lot on Królewska Street at 3:20 AM.
Police officers, including a forensic technician, were also present at the scene. A fire expert will be appointed to help determine the exact cause of the fire, with further investigation being conducted by officers from the Wieliszew police station.
