Former Polish Air Force pilot Urszula Brzezińska-Hołownia resigns, citing family reasons as confirmed by her husband, former Sejm Marshal Szymon Hołownia.
Family Reasons for Departure
TVN24 was the first to report on the departure of pilot Urszula Brzezińska-Hołownia from the Polish Armed Forces. Her husband, former Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia, confirmed the station’s reports, stating the reasons are “strictly family-related.”
Hołownia emphasized that his partner now wants to focus more on raising their daughters, explaining: “In our family life, the time has come when we realized that more time with our children is what we need now.”
Active Reserve Possibility
Hołownia noted that this may not be the end of his wife’s military career, as there is the possibility of joining the active reserve after some time. He emphasized that he hopes his wife’s skills will still be utilized.
Hołownia also expressed pride in his partner, calling her “absolutely a heroine” who “broke all the glass ceilings” during her service.
Military Career Highlights
Urszula Brzezińska-Hołownia graduated from the Air Force Officers’ School in Dęblin in 2013. As a MiG-29 fighter pilot, she served in the 23rd Tactical Air Base in Mińsk Mazowiecki.
