Fire engulfed the facade of Galeria Wisła shopping center in Płock on February 24, 2026, prompting the evacuation of around 400 people.

Fire Breakout and Response

On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, after 18:00, the fire department received a report of a fire on the facade of the Galeria Wisła shopping center on Wyszogrodzka Street in Płock. Five fire units were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke and fire emanating from the building’s facade. They secured the area and extinguished the blaze using two water streams. The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished.

Evacuation and Safety

Simultaneously, an evacuation of individuals inside the building was conducted. Approximately 400 people, including customers and employees, were safely evacuated. No injuries were reported.

Investigation Underway

Once the situation was stabilized, authorities continued operations at the scene to determine the circumstances of the incident. The police are investigating the cause of the fire.
