Fire at Wedding in Targanice. 100 People Evacuated. “Situation Not Under Control”

A major fire broke out at a wedding venue in Targanice, Poland, forcing the evacuation of approximately 100 guests, with firefighters struggling to contain the blaze.

According to RMF FM, the fire broke out before 8:00 PM. The flames appeared in a wooden tavern building where a wedding was taking place. Numerous fire brigades arrived at the scene.

Guest Evacuation

Press spokesperson for the Małopolskie Voivodeship Commander of the State Fire Service, Captain Hubert Ciepły, reported that approximately 100 firefighters with 23 fire trucks are fighting the fire. Around 100 people were evacuated from the venue. The wadowice24.pl portal reports that none of the guests were injured. According to firefighters on the scene, the situation is very serious.

Fire Spread Throughout Building

“The fire spread from one of the halls to the entire wooden building of the Baciarska Chata restaurant. About 20 fire brigades from the entire area are at the scene. The situation is not under control,” reported Krzysztof Cieciak from the Wadowice District State Fire Service, as cited by wadowice24.pl.
