The incident occurred on Saturday (February 21) after 10:50 AM in Szczawnie (Krosno Odrzański county, Lubusz province). Fire appeared in the social care home. – One room is currently burning. At this moment, nine fire brigades have been dispatched,
said Captain Piotr Gabrowski, spokesman for the Krosno Odrzańskie KP PSP, in an interview with NewsLubuski. Ultimately, 15 fire brigades arrived at the scene. The fire has not yet been located and continues to spread.

Before the arrival of firefighters, an evacuation of nearly 100 people began, reports RMF FM. According to the fire department, ten people were injured, with five hospitalized. – Three people with minor burns, two people poisoned by smoke.
