A fire erupted overnight from Saturday to Sunday, 6/7 December, on the roof of a townhouse located on Hugo Kołłątaja Alley in Będzin, Silesian Voivodeship.

Firefighting Efforts

Dozens of firefighters from the local fire department were involved in the response. The blaze covered the entire 330‑square‑meter roof, but the crew worked to contain it and prevent spread to two adjacent townhouses.

Evacuations and Casualties

Two residents evacuated themselves before firefighters arrived, while a third was rescued from a balcony with a ladder. One injured person was taken to a hospital with minor wounds.

Aftermath

After the fire was extinguished, firefighters will survey the damage. The incident is still not fully under control.
