Fire Destroys Popular Summer Venue ‘Patelnia’ Beach in Grabinie; 14 Firefighting Units Battled Blaze

A fire destroyed a wooden shelter at the popular ‘Patelnia’ beach venue in Grabinie on February 23, 2026, with no injuries reported.

Fire Breaks Out

In the morning of Monday, February 23, 2026, a fire occurred on the ‘Patelnia’ beach in Grabinie (Łąck Commune, Płock County). The fire engulfed a wooden shelter near the gastronomic point and event organization area. No individuals were harmed.

Emergency Response

The fire report was received around 7:00 AM. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a fully developed fire. A total of 14 units were dispatched: 8 State Fire Service (PSP) crews and 6 Volunteer Fire Service (OSP) crews.

“Around 7:00 AM, a report came in about a fire in a wooden shelter. Eight PSP crews and six OSP crews were dispatched. Upon arrival, a developed fire was confirmed. The fire has been contained, and overhauling is underway. No injuries reported. The cause will be determined by the relevant services,” informed Płock PSP.

Impact on Water Supply

Due to the fire, Łąck Commune announced a water supply interruption for some recipients served by the Zaździerz Water Supply and Sewage Company (SUW). The notification affects the localities of Zaździerz, Koszelówka, Matyldów, and Zofiówka.
