A fire broke out in a residential building hallway on Warsaw’s Bielany district, prompting the evacuation of approximately 100 residents.
Fire Incident Details
The fire occurred on Bielany, in the area of Przy Agory Street in Warsaw, in the hallway of a residential building on the 4th floor. The blaze involved accumulated cardboard boxes on the hallway. While the fire was quickly brought under control, smoke appeared in the building’s staircase.
Approximately 100 residents were evacuated from the staircase of the building, and no injuries were reported.
Emergency Response
Before the arrival of firefighters, police officers helped evacuate approximately 100 residents. During the operations, firefighters evacuated a woman from one of the apartments.
Five fire brigades, a city operational group, a medical rescue team, gas emergency service, power emergency service, and police were deployed to the scene.
Aftermath and Investigation
After extinguishing the fire, the staircase was ventilated. At this time, there is no information about injured persons.
The causes and circumstances of the fire are currently unknown and under investigation.
