Firefighters discovered a man’s body in a burned-out abandoned building in Warsaw’s Falenica district.
Incident details
On September 26 at 7:52 AM, the municipal command center of the State Fire Service received a report of a fire at a building located at Patriotów 50 in Warsaw’s Falenica district. Four fire crews were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, emergency services confirmed a fire in one of the rooms of an abandoned building situated between the road and PKP railway tracks. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and began searching the premises.
Discovery of the body
During the search, firefighters found the body of a man with no vital signs. Initial reports suggest the individual may have been homeless. A medical rescue team arrived but did not perform any resuscitation efforts due to obvious signs of death.
Investigation ongoing
Four fire crews from the State Fire Service conducted extinguishing and securing operations. They completed their work at 11:45 AM and returned to their barracks. Police are now investigating the cause and circumstances of the fire.
