National Road Safety Campaign Launched
On June 1, the National Police Headquarters, in partnership with Yanosik SA, launched an information and education campaign titled “Slow Down – Dangerous Spot!” The initiative runs until September 30 and aims to improve road safety by alerting drivers to high-risk locations.
Safety Warnings via Mobile Technology
The campaign focuses on sections and specific points, such as intersections and pedestrian crossings, where accident rates have been high in recent years. Drivers using the Yanosik application receive voice notifications warning them to exercise extra caution when approaching these identified hazard zones.
Police Appeal for Driver Responsibility
Authorities reiterated that excessive speed remains a leading cause of fatal road accidents. The police urge all road users to remain vigilant, strictly adhere to speed limits, and maintain constant awareness of their surroundings to prevent further tragedies.
