Security Centre Reports Incident

The Warsaw Capital Security Center (SCB) recorded an incident near the U.S. consulate on 11 November. A pyrotechnic material was thrown toward the consulate, but no damage or injuries were reported.

Flame Thrown by Counter‑Demonstration Participant

According to SCB director Jarosław Misztal, a single attendee of a left‑wing counter‑demonstration launched a flame that landed on the consulate’s stairs. Police secured the area and are probing the perpetrator.

Consular Location and Impact

The U.S. consular section sits on Piękna Street. City authorities confirm no material damage and no casualties from the incident.

Counter‑Demonstration Route

The protest began around 14:00 at Unii Lubelskiej Square, moving through Marszałkowska, Piękna, and Ujazdowskie Avenues toward Trzech Krzyży Square. The incident occurred at the Piękna‑Ujazdowskie junction.

Follow‑up by Police and SCB

After 17:00, SCB reported that the Independence March had reached the PGE National stadium and that participants were dispersing. It added that, apart from the consulate incident, no further serious disturbances were noted.
