Fleeing Police, Driver Crashes with Over 3 Times Legal Limit

On Sunday, dispatchers in Otwock received a report of a gray Opel driving erratically in Osieck, allegedly with an intoxicated driver who had entered a ditch. Police spotted the vehicle and pursued it after the driver ignored signals and sped up.

The chase ended quickly; the driver lost control on the slippery road, crossed into oncoming traffic, and crashed into a ditch.

Arrest and Charges

Officers found the 30-year-old driver smelling of alcohol. A breath test showed over 3 permile. He was arrested and held in custody. After sobering up, he faced charges of drunk driving and evading police.

The prosecutor placed him under police supervision. He now faces up to five years in prison and license revocation.
