The Floating Sauna Wisła at Port Czerniakowski has started its sixth season, combining river-side saunas with free hours for Warsaw residents. The facility, funded from the civic budget, offers both free and paid entries.
Location and hours
The floating sauna operates in Port Czerniakowski’s pool at 3 Zaruskiego Street. It is open daily from 6:00 to midnight, with a standard 1½‑hour session.
Group format and facilities
Sessions take place in small groups, ensuring intimate usage conditions. The site offers a Finnish sauna, a cold water pool, terraces with port views, and a small relaxation zone.
New seasonal activities
The new season includes family sauna sessions, “cheap saunas” during office hours, and events encouraging healthy sauna use. On the Panama ship, a winter relaxation zone with the “Vistula Library” has been prepared, complemented by workshops, yoga and breathing classes, intimate concerts, and walks and cruises around the port.
Free sessions and booking rules
Certain hours are completely free for Warsaw residents – on selected mornings and afternoons during the week, and on weekends. Online reservation is required, with a refundable deposit of 20 PLN per person taken upon registration and returned after the session. One person may register for up to two free entries per month, and new free slots appear each Sunday evening.
Commercial operation
During the remaining hours the sauna operates commercially. The operator stresses that advance reservation and familiarity with the rules and safety procedures are required even for paid entries.
Additional winter offerings
Sauna Wisła is part of a broader winter offer on the river. The city also runs a mobile sauna traveling between Vistula beaches, and offers classes within the Maritime School on Saski Kępa, featuring heated changing rooms, a bonfire, cruises and winter rafting. A seasonal free sauna also operates in Żerański Park as part of the city’s wellness zone on the water.
