Pawlak Excluded from New PSL Leadership
Waldemar Pawlak was not elected to the PSL leadership during the 14th Congress held on 15 November. He received 198 delegate votes, short of the 678 needed to secure a position.
The total electorate participating in the vote was 876 delegates, leaving four years until the next election.
Zgorzelski Elected Supreme Council Chair
Piotr Zgorzelski, the vice‑marshal of the Sejm, was elected chairman of the Supreme Council with 678 delegate votes.
He thanked the delegates for the “incredible mandate” and emphasized his commitment to keeping his word.
Kosiniak‑Kamysz Re‑appointed PSL President
Władysław Kosiniak‑Kamysz was re‑elected president of the PSL as the sole candidate, receiving 946 of 957 possible votes.
He pledged to strengthen the party over the next four years, focusing on independence, patriotism, and popular values.
