Four‑Vehicle Crash on DK62 Leaves Three Injured, Road Blocked

Three people were injured when four vehicles collided on Poland’s DK62 near Kamieńczyk at about 13:30, blocking the highway and prompting the arrival of a rescue helicopter.

Accident Details

At roughly 13:30 on the 250/4 kilometre marker of DK62 between Wyszków and Łochów, a Mazda, Land Rover, Skoda, and a Volkswagen bus collided. The Mazda slipped into a roadside ditch and struck trees.

Rescue Operations

Firefighters from four units, including those from the Wyszków County Fire Service, used hydraulic tools to free the driver trapped in the Mazda. A rescue helicopter from the Air Ambulance landed at the scene and transported a heavily injured passenger to hospital.

Injuries

Three people required medical assistance: one was air‑lifted to a hospital, while two were taken by wheelchair ambulances. No other passengers were hospitalized.

Traffic Impact

DK62 is completely blocked in both directions. Detours are operating via the S8 expressway: from Łochów through Brok and from Wyszków via the Skuszew junction to S8 towards Brok and Łochów.

Police Advisories

Police urge motorists to exercise caution, obey speed limits, and follow instructions from authorities. The county police commander emphasized that following the detour route is essential for safety and traffic flow.
