A fatal collision on Poland’s S8 highway near Chojny claimed four lives and injured one person on Monday, 24 November 2025.
Accident Details
At about 6:40 a.m. on the westbound lane of the S8, two cars and two trucks collided, producing extensive damage to all vehicles involved.
The crash was forced by the force of the impact, resulting in the loss of four lives. One person was wounded.
Emergency Response
Medical helicopter and three fire‑service units, along with two medical rescue teams, were dispatched to the scene.
Despite resuscitation attempts, the four injured could not be saved, according to spokesperson Jędrzej Pawlak of the Łódź Province Police.
Traffic Disruption
The collision site was secured and the westbound lane was fully closed.
Traffic was rerouted via national road 45, with drivers warned of significant delays along the S8 segment.
Investigation
Police and prosecutors will determine how the four‑vehicle collision occurred, examining the scene, documentation and witness statements.
