Police Response and Safety Message
The day’s toll left four dead—three pedestrians and a driver—across Mazovia’s roads, with incidents occurring on both national and local streets. Two fatal crashes were recorded in the capital’s garrison and two in the broader Mazovian garrison. Police units at each location conducted investigations and secured evidence under prosecutorial supervision.
Police warned that pedestrians are the most vulnerable road users, urging them to wear reflective gear, especially after dusk, to increase visibility. Drivers were advised to maintain good lighting and wiper function, adjust speed to weather and road conditions, and exercise caution near pedestrian crossings. The autumn’s early dusk, rain, and wet asphalt exacerbate risks, and heightened awareness is essential for all road users.
