Convicted Polish streamer Marek M., known as ‘Czujny,’ was released the same day he was sentenced to one year and five months in prison.
The Court Decision
Patostreamer Marek M. was released on December 22, according to RMF24 journalists. The District Court in Oświęcim sentenced the 44-year-old to one year and five months in prison and applied a “security measure” in the form of therapy for the crimes he was found guilty of. These include “eating” the protocol from an interrogation, hindering police activities, and abuse of his pregnant partner. However, the man was released from custody the same day.
– The preventive measure of temporary detention was lifted against the man, so the convicted person is currently at liberty. This is because the time he spent in detention during the entire proceedings roughly corresponds to the length of the imposed sentence – stated prosecutor Oliwia Bożek-Michalec from the District Prosecutor’s Office in Kraków in a conversation with RMF24. The court’s verdict is not final. The prosecutor agrees with the length of the imposed sentence, so the case may continue.
Previous Arrests and Release
“Czujny” conducted controversial streams on YouTube. In October 2023, he was wanted by police for abusing his partner. In 2024, he was wanted with three arrest warrants and two European Arrest Warrants.
In March of the same year, he was detained in the Czech Republic – however, he was released after Grzegorz Braun posted his parliamentary immunity as collateral – reported RMF24. – The only security measure is indeed the personal guarantee of a Sejm deputy, which guarantees that the suspect will be at the disposal of law enforcement and will appear in proceedings concerning him – said prosecutor Janusz Kowalski, spokesperson for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Kraków after releasing Marek M. Ultimately, in August, thanks to a European Arrest Warrant, he was brought to Poland.
Connection with Grzegorz Braun
The patostreamer was years ago an assistant to the leader of the Polish Crown Confederation Grzegorz Braun when he was still an MP in 2023. The politician himself did not take an active part in the later proceedings concerning the charges against Marek M.
