A 50-year-old Ukrainian national was arrested by Lesznowola police officers at the airport terminal while attempting to depart for a vacation in Spain to avoid serving a one-year prison sentence.
The End of a Long Pursuit
Individuals wanted by law enforcement rarely wait at their registered addresses, often moving frequently or hiding for years to evade justice. Police work remains persistent, however, eventually tracking down fugitives at the most unexpected moments.
Interception at the Airport
A 50-year-old Ukrainian citizen attempted to leave Poland for a trip to Spain, unaware that police officers from the Lesznowola station were waiting for him at the terminal. The man was apprehended on-site before he could board his flight.
Implementation of the Sentence
Following his arrest, the individual was immediately transported to a correctional facility. He will now serve a one-year prison sentence mandated by the District Court for Warsaw-Śródmieście.
