Warsaw’s Bródzieński cemetery has announced a top‑end burial plot price that tops even holiday budgets, highlighting steep funeral costs in the capital.
Top‑End Burial Prices in Warsaw
Bródzieński cemetery published a new price list on its website, showing that a full burial plot (grzebalny) would cost 25,920 PLN gross. The plot is presently unavailable for purchase.
A single plot for 1–2 people in the first three quarters is priced at 7,560 PLN gross, while other quarters are lower, at 3,780 PLN gross. Marysin Wawerski cemetery offers a masonry burial plot in quarter 6D for 54,000 PLN gross.
Cheaper Alternatives at Other Polish Cemeteries
Outside Warsaw, many cemeteries provide life‑time burial spots at considerably lower prices. At the municipal cemetery in Wyszków, a single plot costs 1,080 PLN net, and a double plot 2,100 PLN net.
Annual renewal fees are 40 PLN and 60 PLN respectively, as specified in the 2022 mayoral decree. In Ciechanów, the fee for a temporary burial plot for 20 years is 532 PLN gross; an urn burial plot is 316 PLN gross, while a family burial plot for 20 years costs 964 PLN gross.
