Garden Gazebo Fire Spreads to Nearby Vegetation

A large garden gazebo caught fire on Żwirki i Wigury Street around 5:00 PM on April 13th, quickly spreading to surrounding bushes and trees.

Fire Breaks Out at Garden Plot

Shortly after 5:00 PM on Monday, April 13th, a fire erupted in a large garden gazebo located on the site of former allotment gardens on Żwirki i Wigury Street, near number 25.

The fire engulfed the structure and then began to spread to nearby shrubs, bushes, and trees.

Emergency Response

The fire department received notification of the blaze just after 5:00 PM. Two fire crews and police were dispatched to the scene.

Fire Suppression and Containment

Upon arrival, firefighters found a well-developed fire at the garden gazebo. The fire had already extended beyond the structure itself, encompassing the surrounding vegetation.

Firefighters deployed two water jets, quickly controlling the main flames. After extinguishing the primary fire, they proceeded to dampen the debris.

This process took approximately one hour, involving thoroughly soaking the smoldering remnants to eliminate any potential reignition.

Incident Conclusion and Assessment

The rescue and firefighting operation concluded before 6:30 PM. No casualties were found in the wreckage of the burned gazebo.

The cause of the fire will be investigated.
